CAD/CAM Restorations
Before you get started, your dentist will determine if CEREC® is right for you. Depending on how much healthy tooth structure you have remaining, it may be a simple filling or you may need a crown. After reviewing your options, the dentist will begin the process by administering anesthetic and preparing your tooth for restoration by removing decay and weakened tooth tissue.
Laser Dentistry

Lasers in dentistry allow for many dental procedures to be performed without drilling noise, minimal pain, faster recovery times and often fewer appointments. All lasers work by delivering energy in the form of light. When used for surgical and dental procedures, the laser acts as a cutting instrument. Use of our laser may be required to recontour the gum tissue (gingival curettage) around a tooth where decay spreads below the gum line. Treating lip and mouth ulcers with the laser results in a quicker healing time, usually only 24 hours.

TMJ Disorders
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is similar to a sliding hinge that connects your jawbone to your skull. TMJ disorders can cause pain in the jaw joint and in the muscles that control jaw movement.

To treat TMJ disorders, the cause must first be identified. Causes of TMJ pain included trauma, arthritis, and occlusal disharmony. Occlusal disharmony is the number one cause of most TMJ problems.

We have many years of experience in helping people with jaw joint pain. It has been our experience that developing proper harmony between the upper and lower teeth is essential to avoid such problems.

Scaling and Root Planing
Scaling and root planing is a non-surgical procedure used to treat gum disease. During the scaling process, specialized dental instruments are used to remove dental plaque and calculus from beneath the gums. Planing is the procedure used to smooth the tooth’s root after the scaling process. Root planing helps the gums heal and reattach themselves to a cleaner and smoother root surface.

A tooth that cannot be saved with restorative materials may need to be removed. Our office will refer you to a highly trained professional for the extraction.

Options for replacement of the tooth will be discussed including implants, a bridge, or removable denture.
